Relimedia: eine Mediothek, aber nicht nur
Relimedia ist ein ökumenisches Dienstleistungsangebot in Zürich, das Medien verleiht, daneben aber auch Kleinmedien und Arbeitshilfen selbst produziert und Kundinnen und Kunden aus den Bereichen Kirche, Religionen, Ethik und Lebenskunde berät.
Relimedia versteht sich als ökumenisches Dienstleistungszentrum. Relimedia ist streng genommen eine religionspädagogische und kirchliche Mediothek, keine reine – aber auch eine – Bibliothek. Wir führen rund 20 000 Medien, davon sind circa drei Viertel Printmedien, daneben aber auch DVDs, Spiele und Medienkoffer. Das Medienangebot umspannt sämtliche Themen des Christentums sowie Material zu Ethik und anderen Religionen. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die Möglichkeit, bei Relimedia Filme mit Arbeitsmaterial aus dem Internet herunterzuladen.
Die Bezeichnung «Dienstleistungszentrum» bezieht sich besonders auf unsere Fachberatung: Alle Mitarbeitenden sind katechetisch ausgebildet und beraten unsere Kundinnen und Kunden bei der Medienauswahl und dem Medieneinsatz. Zwei unserer Mitarbeiterinnen sind zudem ausgebildete Bibliothekarinnen SAB.
Nutzen dürfen Relimedia alle, deren Kantonalkirche sich finanziell an Relimedia beteiligt. Die Nutzungsberechtigten sind in den Allgemeinen GeschäftsbedingungenAllgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen AGB Relimedia: http://www.relimedia.ch/about/agb#p-6 (abgerufen am 1. April 2016). festgehalten. Es sind fast alle reformierten und ein Grossteil der katholischen Kantonalkirchen. Im Kanton Zürich beispielsweise dürfen alle Interessierten bei Relimedia gratis ausleihen und herunterladen. Die detaillierten Bedingungen sind zu finden auf unserer Website in den AGB. Grosso Modo gilt: Bücherausleihe für drei Wochen, kann verlängert werden. AV-Medien eine Woche zuzüglich Verlängerung. Der Mediendownload funktioniert wie ein Kauf: Das Medium geht nach dem Download in den Besitz des Kunden über und kann zeitlich unbegrenzt genutzt werden.
Die Trägerschaft: Verein Ökumenische Mediengruppe
Trägerschaft von Relimedia sind das Katholische Medienzentrum und Reformierte Medien. Das Katholische Medienzentrum, seit 2015 als Verein konstituiert, hat zur Aufgabe, kirchliche, religiöse und gesellschaftliche Themen für die mediale Öffentlichkeit aufzubereiten sowie selbst zu erarbeiten. Es kommuniziert Anliegen der katholischen Kirche gegenüber der Öffentlichkeit und bietet für kirchliche Gremien und Institutionen Servicedienstleistungen im Bereich Medienarbeit und Kommunikation an. Die Reformierten Medien erzeugen Content für verschiedene Medien und Verwendungszwecke und erbringen Support für kirchliche Kommunikation. Auf der Basis eines Leistungsauftrags sind sie in erster Linie für die reformierten Kirchen der deutschsprachigen Schweiz tätig. Ihre Dienstleistungen bieten die Reformierten Medien jedoch auch weiteren Kunden an. Seit den 1970er-Jahren arbeiten die Reformierten Medien und das Katholische Medienzentrum (vormals Katholischer Mediendienst) als Partner zusammen. Im Jahr 2000 wurde für diese Kooperation eine eigene rechtliche Trägerschaft gebildet, der Verein Ökumenische Mediengruppe. Dieser umfasst neben der beschriebenen Relimedia zwei weitere ökumenische Geschäftseinheiten: Datenpark, ein Internt-Dienstleister für Kirchgemeinden, Pfarreien und kirchennahe Einrichtungen, sowie Medientipp, ein Programmservice zur Thematik Kirche, Religion und Gesellschaft im weitesten Sinne. Er bietet wöchentlich eine Auswahl und Besprechungen von Fernseh- und Radiosendungen sowie Filmen an und ist kostenlos abonnierbar.

Relimedia est une offre de services œcuméniques à Zurich, qui produit elle-même des médias et des petits médias, ainsi que des outils concernant tous les sujets du christianisme, ainsi que du matériel sur l’éthique et les autres religions. Tous les employés sont formés en catéchèse et conseillent les clients en ce qui concerne le travail. L’offre comprend quelque 20 000 médias et concerne des médias et leur utilisation; c’est pourquoi Relimedia se considère explicitement comme un centre de service. Tous les cantons dont l’Église respective contribue financièrement à Relimedia peuvent bénéficier des prestations de Relimedia.
Relimedia est soutenue par le Centre des médias catholiques Cath-Info et les Médias Réformés. Le Centre des médias catholique se charge des questions ecclésiastiques, religieuses et sociales pour les médias publics et de les développer.
Les Médias Réformés produisent du contenu pour différents médias et utilisations et fournissent un support pour les communications de l’Église. Depuis les années 1970, les Médias Réformés et le Centre de médias catholiques (anciennement Service de presse catholique) collaborent en tant que partenaires. En 2000, cette coopération a été solidifiée en formant une organisation juridique distincte, l’Association du groupe médiatique œcuménique.
