L'histoire débute le 5 mai dernier avec la parution d'une offre d'emploi intitulée «Archiviste/Documentaliste» par un cabinet de recrutement très connu. Le profil requerrait un très populaire «CFC d'employé(e) de commerce ou titre jugé équivalent» mais demandait également des compétences techniques et spécifiques au métier. Le titulaire du poste devrait entre autre établir de nouvelles procédures en matière d’archivage, mettre en place système de classement efficace et assurer le respect des lois en matière de protections des données.
Me voilà donc en train de me questionner sur le bien-fondé de cette annonce qui venait à mon sens dévaloriser une fonction déjà bien mise à mal et qui ne permettait pas de profiter des meilleures qualifications disponibles. Un message LinkedIn plus tard totalisant plus que 3000 vues et de très nombreux commentaires, et c'est toute un filière qui est montée au créneau en argumentant et en ouvrant la discussion de manière constructive.
Quelques jours plus tard, le président de l'Association des archivistes suisses a transmis sa prise de position au cabinet de recrutement et a modifié le contenu de l’annonce en la publiant sur le site de l’AAS.
Combien d'autres annonces de ce type passent encore sous le radar jour après jour? A nous tou.te.s d'être des vigies, nous, professionnel.le.s des sciences de l'information. Des vigies solidaires et bienveillantes, mais des vigies combatives. Comme me l'a rappelé le président de l’AAS, «C’est ensemble que nous parviendrons à faire évoluer les choses. Mais cela prend du temps.»
